Thank you
for visiting
IndependentMinorLeagueBaseball.com. This website aims
to
benefit the executives in independent professional baseball, regardless
of the league. I want this site to serve as a resource for
you
during the 2009 season and beyond, so here is what I did in late 2008:
- Contacted over 30 general managers and
league executives across the 8 independent leagues
- Asked each person about their challenges
and
problems in running their businesses; and I found many common
challenges regardless of the league or geography in which the executive
was running a team
- Began a search to find the answers to the
challenges shared by your colleagues
Please note that this website is NOT intended to challenge any of the
already-existing services and conferences which target independent
baseball. This is a complementary website and will give
solutions
to the challenges not addressed by the other services.
In the coming weeks I will add a good degree of content to the
membership site which meets your needs and those of your colleagues.
Here is what I have ALREADY done for you:
- If you are tired of receiving phone calls
from
prospective players who call at the worst possible times then I have a
solution!
Send them to this website as I established a database
where prospective players can join (for a nominal fee) - AND I will
send
you their information in a format that is easy to read and understand.
No more missing information or missing references!
- If you are looking for quality interns
which may have escaped your recruitment process, then I will send you a
list of prospective baseball interns on a
periodic basis as I established a database where they, too, can join
for a nominal fee.
- If you want to offer your players and
recently-retired players a source of information to help them better
their lives (both in baseball and off the field), I created a membership site for the players. It covers several useful topics and will help your
current players
reduce potential problems and headaches for you as well as help retired
players who wish to transition into the professional baseball executive
ranks. Have them visit Independent Baseball Alumni
- If you are looking to enhance your team's
publicity in the towns surrounding your players' home towns then there
is an easy solution to reach all of the media outlets, including the
difficult-to-find contacts. I have partnered with a firm
which
allows you a simple, easy-to-use web-based software package that can
multiply the power of your post-game releases, blog posts, and formal
announcements. For more information click
here.
If I haven't spoken with you already, then all you have to do is
e-mail me
your interest and I will add you to my distribution list at no charge
for the prospective player and internship database. As you
can
imagine, these are restricted to independent baseball front office and
league executives only.
Thank you for your interest, and please refer this website to your
colleagues and peers so that independent baseball has a useful, how-to
source of information which benefits the sport as a whole.
